Home sales continue to be a bit sluggish thanks to the usual winter real estate slowdown, but a significant increase in the number of homes listed means that we should see home sales picking up soon as warmer weather rolls around. The number of homes under contract also increased from last month, indicating that home sales will be higher next month.

The average number of days homes were on the market decreased from 79 to 74 in Woodstock, but increased from 85 to 102 for Cherokee County. Trendy, bustling downtown Woodstock is a very sought-after neighborhood, so the area sees more motivated buyers at all times of the year, while other areas of Cherokee County may be more prone to seasonal sluggishness.

Average sales price increased from the prior month for both downtown Woodstock and Cherokee County, illustrating the fact that while there may be less traffic in winter, there also tend to be more motivated buyers!
