Woodstock Real Estate Update: October 2014

real estate market in WoodstockAs we mentioned in our last Woodstock real estate update (September 2014), fall and winter are the slowest seasons for home sales. Most people don’t want to uproot their families in the middle of a school semester, and with the holidays just around the corner, most don’t want to deal with the added stress of moving disrupting their holiday celebrations either. Consequently, October’s decrease in the number of homes listed and under contract, and increase in the number of days on market are no surprise, just regular seasonal trends.┬áThe number of homes sold, however, actually increased for both Woodstock and Cherokee County, with 145 and 339 respectively.
